Acceptable Use Policy

We run shared email infrastructure, so what one sender does affects everyone. This policy keeps Mailgineer healthy, deliverable, and free of abuse — for you and for every other customer.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses Mailgineer, including account holders, their mailboxes, aliases, and any email sent or received through our service. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Where this policy and the Terms conflict on matters of use, this policy governs.

2. No spam or unsolicited mail

Unsolicited marketing email is spam — no matter what it is called. Terms like "cold email" do not change how filters, recipients, or we see it. You may send marketing mail only to people who have given you permission to contact them.
  • Do not send bulk or commercial email to recipients who did not opt in.
  • Do not use purchased, scraped, or rented address lists.
  • Honour unsubscribe requests promptly and accurately.
  • Do not disguise or forge headers, sender addresses, or routing information.

We are glad to host marketing email. We are not able to host spam.

3. No warm-up or reputation-manipulation services

We have spent years building a sending reputation we protect carefully. Warm-up tools aim to manipulate reputation signals, and using them with our mailboxes puts the whole platform at risk by associating our IP space with senders who do not follow the rules.

Do not use warm-up services, reputation-inflation tools, or similar automation with any Mailgineer mailbox or sending IP. Mailgineer maintains your reputation for you.

4. No account farming

Account farming means using many aliases, addresses, or a catch-all to create numerous accounts on third-party platforms while pretending to be different people. It creates significant risk and has no place on a shared mail platform.

  • Do not use Mailgineer mailboxes to mass-register accounts elsewhere.
  • Do not operate multiple identities to evade another platform's rules, rate limits, or bans.
  • Do not resell or sub-let mailboxes except under an authorised reseller agreement.

5. Other prohibited uses

Illegal or harmful activity

No use of the service for fraud, phishing, malware distribution, harassment, threats, child exploitation, or any activity that breaks the law.

Harming the platform

No attempts to breach, overload, or probe our systems, to intercept traffic that isn't yours, or to interfere with other customers' mail or reputation.

Forged or misleading identity

No impersonating another person, brand, or organisation, and no misrepresenting where mail actually comes from.

Abusive automation

No high-volume sending designed to bypass sending limits, rate limits, or spam filtering, and no abusive automation against our systems.

6. Sending limits and fair use

Every plan includes per-account and per-IP sending limits so that shared infrastructure stays fast and deliverable for everyone. These limits are published in your plan details and may be adjusted to protect the platform. If you need higher, cleaner throughput, contact us about a plan or dedicated capacity suited to your volume.

7. Reporting abuse

If you receive unwanted mail from a Mailgineer customer, or you want to report any abuse of our service, email [email protected] with the message headers if possible. We investigate every report promptly.

8. How we enforce this policy

Our goal is always to fix the problem, not to punish first. Depending on the nature and severity, we may take one or more of the following steps:

Minor

A warning and guidance, or a temporary sending hold while an issue is corrected.

Serious

Rate limiting, throttling, or suspension of the affected mailboxes or domains.

Severe

Account termination without refund, and reporting to relevant authorities where required.

Repeated or deliberate violations, or any activity that creates serious risk to the platform or other customers, may lead to immediate termination.

9. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, contact [email protected] with your account details and an explanation. A real operator — not a chatbot — will review your case and respond.
